We would like to answer a few questions you might have:

Why Minnie-Online.co.za?

Normal sites are “dead” according to us and business directories or data mostly software driven. (Not that there is anything wrong with it)

 

Visitors will soon notice this is not your normal website. Our vision is to give this site a unique character that will attract everyone in our community with Internet access, and involve all who has not. It will be “alive” and always have a human’s touch.

 

You will also note we link to relevant local and other websites which will make this site a powerful information hub.

 

In the process, we would also like to promote our area as a tourist attraction to the benefit of us all. We are proud and honoured to stay in Gordon's Bay. (Sorry Strand and Somerset - but we like you also...)

Why is almost everything free?

This site is not a business but… call it a hobby if you like. It is been done part time, inhouse without external development or maintenance cost.

 

We would like to provide a service through it to our community and in the process gain valuable web design experience.

Where do we come from and where are we going?

The webmaster have a technical background and started playing with web design a few years ago. No courses were attended and what he knows about web design is self taught and from practical experience.

 

He ended up developing a few other sites after this one (with this site been neglected for a while). Revisiting his "baby" and playing with it again he had a vision for it to become “the site” locally.

 

Minnie-Online.co.za went through a metamorphoses and many "growing pains" are still ahead – as we said, it will be “alive”! It has now become a project to implement knowledge, gain more experience in web design and to be an asset to our community.
